Willoughby Commons First Interstate

The development of Willoughby Commons has the advantage of proactive administration committed to redeveloping a large tract of land which had remained dormant for many years.

In order to insure access for retailers and minimize the impact of the project on local traffic, First Interstate widened a 3/4 mile stretch of Euclid Avenue.

The project also involved a private public partnership with the Lake Metroparks in conjunction with the Army Corps of Engineers to purchase and preserve 42 acres of land next to the Chagrin River.
